Lidia, originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in Boston, joined the Red Sox Foundation in 2014. Beginning as an intern for the Fan Services & Entertainment Team, she later became a Red Sox Foundation Fellow. Graduating from Suffolk University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Lidia focused on Business Management and minored in Finance & Sports Marketing. In her current role as the Assistant Director of Programs, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing and leading all direct-service programming for the Foundation.

One of Lidia’s key responsibilities is managing the Red Sox Scholars program, offering a $10,000 college scholarship to 12 Boston Public School 7th graders. She provides ongoing academic, professional, and social support to ensure these students graduate with minimal debt over the next nine years. Beyond this, Lidia contributes significantly to overseeing direct-service programming, mentoring 361 Scholars, and managing the Red Sox Foundation’s youth baseball and softball initiatives. As the leader of these initiatives, she has made a lasting impact on the organization.

Her influence extends to meaningful contributions in fundraising and storytelling efforts for the Foundation. Lidia's commitment to excellence is evident in her receipt of a Leadership Certificate from UMASS Boston’s Emerging Leaders Program in 2018, representing the Boston Red Sox. She actively participates in the Fenway Sports Management & Boston Red Sox Latinx, Black, and Women Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), further emphasizing her leadership and commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.

In recognition of her professional achievements and dedication to service, Lidia was honored as a 2024 Suffolk University 10 Under 10 award recipient, celebrating her impact in both her field and the community. Additionally, she was awarded the Jefferson Award through the Changemakers program by Multiplying Good, recognizing her outstanding public service and leadership as a changemaker.

Lidia's story exemplifies the significant impact she has as the Assistant Director of Programs, leading the way in creating positive change through sports and community service.
